What Is Kennel Cough? And How Do I Know If My Dog Has Kennel Cough?

Causes

Kennel Cough is usually caused when a dog already has been exposed to multiple viruses, which weaken the dog’s immune system along with the defensive processes of the respiratory tract. Young dogs that have been unvaccinated are very susceptible to the condition. In addition, dogs that are in constant contact with other dogs (especially in crowded areas with poor air circulation), are exposed to cold temperatures or cigarette smoke, or constantly travel are at the most risk for the condition.
